Do you have braces? Are you struggling with flossing because of the wires? You aren’t the only one to have had this problem. We would like to help you by providing some tips and tricks that can help improve your dental hygiene and health.
Using the right tool
Trying to get the floss under the wire of your braces can be incredibly frustrating. Fortunately, you can get an orthodontic floss threader that should be available in most stores that sell dental hygiene products. It can help you pull the floss in above the wire to reach your gum line.
Be sure your floss is waxed
Non-waxed dental floss can get caught more easily on the brackets and may leave thin threads behind. Waxed floss, on the other hand, can slip in between your teeth without getting caught easier. Before you remove the floss and threader, you should make sure that you gently reach your gum line.
